CHURCH OF THE HOLY CROSS

Budget: $5.7 Mil Renovation
The Project consisted of the interior restoration of a historic church located on 42nd Street. The scope of work included repair of failing plaster, electrical re-wiring, new lighting, new HVAC, stained glass restoration, art restoration, new finishes, and liturgical furnishings.
Workshop SAS designed custom period light fixtures, marble liturgical furniture, and designed and constructed the ornate Narthex Screen utilizing existing pews and stained glass. Well versed in art restoration, Workshop SAS worked closely with artists to restore the historical artwork to it’s original splendor. Project Cost was maintained by development of detailed construction cost estimates at project start up and continual monitoring of the client’s budget. During construction, continual negotiations with sub-contractors was established to keep the completed Project within budget.
